FanFair Banner

Todays project is a banner for my son's bedroom.  I used the mini banner, paper from the retired FanFair B&T Duo and the Art Philosophy cartridge.  The great thing about using the Art Philosophy cartridge for this project is that the exact same banner shapes can be found, and cut to fit the mini banner.  I also used the cardstock in the corresponding colors that can be found in the FanFair paper.

I firstly started with the cardstock in 4 colors, Holiday Red, Outdoor Denim, Indian Corn Blue and Sunny Yellow.  I selected one color and cut 2-3 shapes for the banner, and continued along with the other 3 colors.  Then using 2 sheets of B&T Duos cut the same shapes .5 smaller than the banner.  Also using the cardstock I cut out the letters to spell my son's name, and the over flap.  To add a little dimesion I placed glue dots under the over flap so that they popped off the banner.

To tie them together I took some color ready ribbon and Indian Corn Blue Ink and died the ribbon.  I smeared it twice to get a darker color, and lightly dabbed in others to get a muted effect.  I think it turned out great!
