June SOTM Blog Hop - Ice Cream Dream

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring June's SOTM, which is Ice Cream Dream, a set of 7 stamps.  If you have come here from Melinda's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month we have 50 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

For my project I decided to try the Boken technique on a full 12x12 page.  This was very time consuming but I think the effect was totally worth my time.  I used Lagoon and Cotton Candy Ink and sponged over the paper in a random pattern.  Then having cut circles in various sizes to create a template, I sponged these circles, using White Daisy Pigment Ink, randomly so that it creates a sort of bubble like appearance.  Some circles I kept almost opaque and others I really layered the ink on.  You can also see that there are bubbles ontop of bubbles.  I really love how this layout came out, and I've also carried the colors into the stamped images.

My photo mats are 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and will hold 4 x 4 photos. If you did not want to use mats, then you could use 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 photos, you could also double mat the photo spaces.

Now "Hop" on over to Sheila's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the June SOTM is only available until the 30th!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!

Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join Deanne in Newfoundland.  Deanne also happens to be before me, so if you are joining me from her post, you are moving in the right direction.

For my layout I chose to follow a cutting guide from Make it From Your Heart Volume 1.  The layout is #8 found on page 20.

I used The Seaside Paper collection, along with some aqua dots and the Seaside Assortment to embellish the page.  I used stamps from the Workshop along with the stamp Treasured Friendship (C1594). This layout will hold 3 photos. Below are closeups of each page.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Rosalynd so hop on over and see what she has prepared for you.

If you get lost you can come back and visit me, as I am providing you with the whole blog hop list.

Brae-er's Team Blog Hop - Taste of Summer

Welcome to my blog...and the Brae-er's Team Blog Hop.  This month we are happy to be showcasing the Taste of Summer Paper celebrating National Scrapbooking Month. If you have just finished visiting with Jessica then you are hopping along in the right direction.

I've made 2 cute cards following cutting instructions from Make it From Your Heart Volume 2.  Here are my cards.

For both my cards, I used the current Operation Smile Stamp Set, Happy Everything (D1653). For the first card I stamped the balloons directly on the card and then on scraps of the patterned papers.  I fussy cut them out and then adhered them to the stamped images on the card. Aren't the colors bright and fun.

For my second card I used the White Shimmer Trim, and colored it with the ShinHan Touch Twin Markers, The color I used was Marigold.  The sentiment is layered on Sweetleaf cardstock.

For more information about the promotional paper, and the matching stamp set that coordinates with the paper continue reading......or you can hop on over to Heather who has a Berry Cute layout. If for any reason you get lost along the way, you can pop to Brae's blog for a full list. Don't forget to leave comments for us, we love to hear from you.
