September SOTM Blog Hop - Family is Forever

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop featuring September's SOTM, Family Is Forever, a set of 7 stamps. If you have come here from the creative Melinda's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

This month we have approximately 80 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I've used our 6x6 canvas display to create my project.  I used some sponge daubers and added Ruby, New England and Cocoa  Pigment Ink.  I just had to carefully add the colour where I wanted and had a q-tip to wipe away ink in the spots where I didn't want it.  The heart is stamped in 2nd generation behind the sweet moments just to add a little character to the canvas.  After my ink was all dry, I sealed the canvas with some Modge Podge.
Now "Hop" on over to Shelia's Blog to see her fabulously creative work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, September's SOTM is only available until the 30ht!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!

I've really been in the mood for making Christmas cards lately and really like this new Hostess Stamp Be Jolly(B1455).  Hostess stamps are only available to those who hold parties, or place a large enough order to obtain the rewards.

I also used the stamp set Yuletide Greetings( D1553).  I coloured the holly leaves and berries using the New ShinHan Alcochol Markers, using the same colours for the holly and berries on the sentiment.

Here is this weeks sketch:

Grateful with AHSC #69

This week's sketch I decided that I wanted to try the new technique of using Painter's Tape to apply ink to my card.  I've seen some fabulous creations using this technique and couldn't wait to play, but I decided I wanted to use 2 techniques....my all time favourite technique is resist embossing.

So here is this week's sketch:

Here is my creation:

I used Versamark Ink for the images and sentiment, adding White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set it. Then I grabbed my roll of painters tape and inked up 2 stripes of each of the 3 colours, Glacier, Crystal Blue and Indian Corn Blue.  I applied the painters tape to the card and gently rubbed across the top to transfer the ink to the card.  I hope you enjoyed my creation this week, and I hope you decide to get inky too.

Now hop on over to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and visit our Design Team and see some of their amazing creations, I know I was blown away at their creations this week.

For my project I decided I was going to make a set of 5 greeting cards.  I choose to use the Laughing Lola PML kit. There are currently 13 collections to choose from, and I'm sure one will kit your style.
Luckily for me, I still had some scraps of Laughing Lola paper left and was able to quickly pull these cards together.  I used some Shimmer Trim, Aqua Dots and some Sparkle Gems to dress the cards up. I did not use any stamping. Here are my creations.

This first one I cut 2 little flags and popped them in behind the 4x3 PML card, and added 3 small Sparkle Gems.

For the second card I used the zip strip to seperate the 2 patterns, and then from a second Zip Strip, cut the saying and flagged the end and layered it over the PML card.

The third card is just layers, with some Sparkle Gems at the bottom in 3 different sizes.

This fourth card was made with a 4x3 card that I trimmed down to a square.  I used some Shimmer Trim and Aqua Dots to dress it up.

My last card, I just adhered the PML card to some pattern paper and added two banners from some Shimmer Trim.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Nicky.
If you get lost along the way, you can come back here to my blog as I have the full list of hoppers available.

    Yuletide Greetings for AHSC #68

I really had fun redesigning my card for this sketch. As I've told you before in previous posts that I normally write down my intentions for my sketches...but I don't always follow through with my notes.

This is the case for this week's sketch.

Another reason why I didn't follow my notes for this sketch is I ended up being called into work and didn't have a chance to finish it the way I wanted too....either way, I am happy with how it turned out, and will be making more of this card for my craft markets.

    Supplies:

    Yuletide Paper
    New England Ivy Cardstock
    ShinHan Alcohol Markers
    New England Ivy Ink
    White Daisy Cardstock
    Artiste Cartridge
    3D Foam Tape

Now, I would love it if you would head over to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, visit each of the Design Team and leave them some blog love.  We all like hearing from each of you.  Have a inky day!

Brae-er's Team Blog Hop - Featuring New Product

Welcome to the Brae-er's Team Blog Hop where we will be featuring some of the new products that we love.  If you have just started the hop, then just keep going until you come back to me, as we hop in a large circle, but if you have come here from Chris's Blog you are in the right place.  If for any reason you get lost, or what the complete list of the hoppers, you can find that list on Brae's blog.

There are so many fabulous new products in our Annual Inspirations Catalogue that it was really hard for me to decide on what to show you.  Then it hit me, I love to colour and our new ShinHan Touch Twin markers are the perfect product for me to share with you.

These markers have been around for quite some time, and are at the top of the market.  Our corporate team has carefully chosen 24 markers that will compliment our colour pallet. Each of these alcohol-based markers includes one broad tip and one fine tip.

This first photo shows the difference between our old alcohol markers and the new markers from ShinHan. Do you notice how vibrant the colours are?

Now here are a few of my creations using the new markers.  I just love how smooth they colour and blend, and don't forget we also carry the ShinHan Colorless Blender Marker too.

What will you create using these fabulous markers?

Now keep hopping as there are more fabulous projects waiting for you.  Your next stop is Tamara's blog where she has something fabulous in store for you. If any of the products you have seen today are on your wish list, you can purchase them here, or from your own local consultant.

Blog Hop Featuring New Products from the Annual Inspirations Catalogue

Welcome to our blog hop featuring all new products from our New Annual Inspirations catalogue. We have approximately 54 participants and they've been busy creating some fabulous creations to inspire you.

If you have come visiting me from Hayley's Blog then you are in the right spot, and then is still lots of amazing creations to follow. If you happen to get lost along the way you can find the complete list here.

My creation for today is featuring the Hostess Stamp Sing Glory(C1587) which can be yours when you host a party.

I stamped the angel in Versamark Ink and added the Ranger Silver Super Fine Embossing Powder.  I just love the look of this embossed. The sentiment is then stamped using Cranberry Ink.  I layered the stamping on Cranberry cardstock before adhering it to the cardbase.  I love this clean and simple look. Below is a close up of the embossed angel.

Your next stop on the blog hop is Vicki's blog.  Don't forget to leave us all a little blog love, as we love to hear from you.

To purchase any of the products featured here or on other participants contact your local consultant or you can shop here.

    Creating with AHSC #67

I've been really busy creating many projects for various reasons, submissions into magazines, blog hops, and of course my sketch challenge.  I was playing around with the new markers and decided to use them as a feature on this week's challenge along with one of our new colours, (we have 5 new colours) Thistle.

    Here is this week's sketch:

    Here is my creation:

I really had lots of fun playing with the stamp set Happy Birds(C1600). First I stamped with Versamark Ink on a piece of White Daisy Cardstock and added Clear Embossing powder so that the sentiment would remain white.  Then choosing Thistle Ink and Lagoon Ink to compliment each other I used my sponge daubers to create my own patterned paper.  For the flowers I stamped them in Archival Black Ink and heat set them so there would be no bleeding of ink.  I used Marigold(YR24), Turquoise Blue(B68), Peacock Green(BG61), Golden Yellow(Y222), Lavender(P83) and Peony Purple(P282) ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.

I fussy cut out the flowers and adhered them using 3D Foam Tape, wrapped some twine around the coloured paper and adhered it to my cardbase.

I really hope you enjoyed my creation, and that you will continue over to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, where the Design Team will be sure to inspire you even more with their creations.

Christmas in August for New Product Blog Hop

My creation today is using October's SOTM as it was just too cute, and was calling my name to be used. The stamp will be available for your purchase in October, and is called Home for the Holidays, it is one you won't want to miss out on.

I used the new Snowhaven paper pack to create this card, along with Cranberry, Glacier and Whisper Ink. I stamped the image 4 times and cut out the pieces to layer and piece them together.

To see the first project I created for this hop click here, this will also provide you with all the thumbnails of the other project entries.

Annual Inspirations New Product Blog Hop

Being a consultant we are privileged with being able to order prior to the release of the new catalogues so that we can create lots of new creations to inspire you.  I am so in love with all of the new products in this 1st Edition of our Annual Inspirations Catalogue, which is now a year long catatlogue.  This catalogue has over 250 new items, which include 9 new paper packages, 5 new PML kits and so much more.

This blog hop is run through a link up, so all the participants will have their links in thumbnails at the bottom of this post. Just click on the first one, and when you are finished there, scroll to the bottom of their post to click on the next link....and so on!  Pretty simple, right!

I fell in love with the Brushed paper, maybe it's because I have 2 girls, and this pink floral paper just screams GIRLS.  Here is my creation:
I've used a strip of Jupiner cardstock and a strip from the backside of this floral paper and the scallop border punch to create the strip of scallops on the left side of the card, layered with a piece of the Zipstrip.

The sentiment is stamped in Versamark Ink and I heat embossed that and the 3 butterflies using Clear Detail Embossing Powder.  Then using sponge daubers and the new Canary Ink(yellow) and Jupiner Ink I used a technique called resist embossing to create my own colouring.  The remaining butterflies are stamped with the new Pixie Ink(pink).
This butterfly is cut out twice and layered to look like it is flying off the card.  I added 3 Bitty Pearls to dress it up.
This large butterfly is stamped in Black ink and Pixie ink is then covered in Liquid Glass to create my own embellishment. All images are from the Stamp Set Your Own Kind of Wonderful(D1627).

This card was so fun to create, and I'm excited to share my projects with you, but scroll down and go check out all the fabulous projects created by my fellow consultants.  Hope our creations are able to inspire you to get inky too!
